Storm Damage – Franklin Home

Storm damage occurred when a particularly terrible storm with high winds blew a tree through a window of this Franklin home when the family was on an extended weekend trip. A lot of rain came through the broken window and was allowed to stand on the hardwood floor until the residents returned. The water had already found its way through the flooring to the concrete subfloor. If the moisture content of the subfloor had become too high, the subfloor would require drying. SERVPRO of the Lakes Region has extensive experience with hardwood flooring and the drying of subflooring. We would assess the damage using high-tech moisture monitoring meters. If the moisture content indicated the subfloor needed drying, we would have to remove the flooring to sufficiently dry the subfloor. The baseboards would need to be replaced along with the flooring. The remainder of the water damage would be dried using commercial air movers and dehumidifiers.
