Flooding after a storm or from a leak in the home is never something that is expected. Keep SERVPRO on speed dial so that we're just a call away.

Professional SERVPRO Technicians Arrive Quickly to Dry Out Your Flooded Property

A flood emergency in Belmont can happen at any time. Oversaturated ground around your home, storm sewer backup, or an overflowing river or stream can bring the rainwaters into your home when you least expect it. Whether there are only a few inches of water in your home or several feet, you need to act fast to get your home dry again to avoid further damages.

A flooding disaster and flood damage in your Belmont home is not a task for you to tackle on your own, however. You need help from professionals like our staff at SERVPRO. We are specially trained to handle these situations in a timely fashion, and we have the industrial tools to pull the water from your home and dry it out again.

Once we have extracted all the standing water from your home, we need to dry the structure. Airflow is one of the essential tools that we use. Efficiently drying requires knowing the right techniques for using airflow.

SERVPRO techs have to think about where to place the dehumidifiers in regards to where the air movers are. Air movers should not blow air into the back of a dehumidifier directly. Dehumidifiers put out dry, hot, air. The hot air can be used to dry areas which are hard-to-dry, like pillars, walls, or any other areas that are saturated. The bigger the unit, the more hot air it makes. We aim the air toward an air mover and direct the hot air so that it reaches wet materials.

Something else we can do is place an air mover under carpeting that was affected to improve the drying time. We vent the carpet so air can escape. Floating carpets lowers the drying time and lets the floor underneath dry as well. We are careful not to run the air mover at too high of a speed to avoid damaging the carpet, and we reattach it to the tack strip to stop it from flapping, so it does not delaminate or damage any surrounding walls.

When drying out your home in Tilton, Franklin, or Laconia after flooding, SERVPRO of The Lakes Region takes care to arrange our equipment to lower the drying time as much as possible, avoiding further damages. Reach out to us at (603) 527-2518 right away after a flood so we can begin work as soon as possible.
